The Harland Street Bridge is situated half-way between Unquity Road and Canton Avenue. Its pathway begins on Harland Street at Canton Ave and transforms into a trail that ends at Unquity Road, just a short distance from the Ulin Ice Rink. Beneath the bridge, there are three conduits that redirect the brook in a different direction. These man-made structures force the brook to change its course towards the Canton Avenue Bridge and ultimately lead it into Pope's Pond.
While many people may be unaware of this charming little bridge, it serves a crucial role in the ecosystem of Pine Tree Brook, but little known about the origin of the Bridge,
Early references in historical town reports provide little information about the bridge. Additionally, there is a sewer pipe that runs parallel to the brook. The State Department of Conservation and Recreation (DCR), which manages this area, likely has more detailed information. The alteration of the brook's direction may have been motivated by the need to protect nearby houses from potential flooding.
